Shag Dance Lessons.com is a Carolina Shag Dance company offering Shag lessons in the upstate of South Carolina--Spartanburg, Greenville, Anderson, SC--and western NC. We have several lesson formats to choose from:

Group Lessons

We offer group lessons on an periodic basis.  Typically, Beginner sessions are 7-8pm and Intermediate level group lessons are 8-9pm.  Beginner Introductory lessons cycle in 4 week sessions with a new class beginning every 4 weeks; we hold regular monthly sign-ups for the Beginner Group Lessons but we also welcome your sign up at anytime...just contact us by email and we'll let you know exactly when the next 4 week cycle start date will be. After you have completed the initial Basic Intro sessions, you may continue into our regular Basics Plus ongoing sessions and work forward into Intermediate classes. Group lessons last one hour per weekly session are $45 per person for 4 consecutive weekly lessons. $45 = 1hr per week x 4 weeks.

Private Lessons

Many people enjoy private lessons because they offer personal attention. In a private lesson a student, or a couple, works alone with a teacher; the teacher can give more detailed information and proceeds at the student's pace. Lessons are by appointment.  Private Lessons are $59 per hour. If you would like a private lesson, contact us by email to schedule a time.

Semi-Private Lessons

Do you have a group of friends who would like to study together? Many people are organizing semi-private lessons so that they can learn with people they know. The pricing of these lessons is based on the number of people who attend. The lessons are scheduled by appointment, like private lessons, and appointments are based on availability and are priced per hour.
